Spring is in the air. We've had a fun spirit week, and our final round of clubs is underway.
Lyseth students continue to engage in compelling, inquiry based literacy modules. As you may know, we use the EL literacy curriculum. This is an interdisciplinary approach to teaching reading, writing, and content areas through cohesive modules that are based in real-life scenarios. Currently, our students are working on the following topics:
This Wednesday, our kindergarten students visited the PATHS sugar house to learn all about maple syrup! They enjoyed delicious ice cream with maple syrup sundaes and took part in activities led by the Maine Audubon, where they learned about the importance of trees and biodiversity.
This past Wednesday, Lyseth classrooms teamed up to work on a project that got students talking about empathy. Ms. Whybark, Ms. Whittum, and Ms. Joyce’s students collaborated to make cards for residents at Fallbrook Memory Care Center. Maestra Cristina’s students visited Ms. Robinson’s class and taught the fourth graders...
March Madness is back! Our school wide basketball tournament will take place the morning of Friday, March 14th. All 3rd-5th grade students are invited to play or spectate.
