Volunteer opportunities

Lyseth School is a special and successful place due to our many volunteers.  We depend greatly upon the generous contributions that volunteers make every year and our students benefit as well.

New Volunteers: Lyseth welcomes parents to volunteer and be part of your child's school experience. If you are a new volunteer you will need to complete a Volunteer Application on-line at Volunteer form or go to the PPS website, click on Community Engagement, click on Volunteer in our Schools  where you will find the Volunteer Application.  It takes a couple of weeks to process the forms and you will receive an email once it's complete.

Returning Volunteers: PPS has revised their volunteer procedure and ask that all volunteers be re-screened every 3 years, but due to new COVIC protocols, our process has changed a bit. Please contact Sylvie Montello, our Community Coordinator, to be sure she has all the info needed to allow you into he building.  She can be reached at montes@portlandschools.org.  Once your information has been updated, you will receive an email from her that you are set  to begin volunteering.  If you are not sure whether it's been 3 or more years that you completed the Volunteer Form, please reach out to Sylvie to confirm.   Thank you for your support!
