Thank you for your part in helping us begin the school year with such great success! Our first days have been filled with positive energy and new learning! The Lyseth Elementary School community is a wonderful “mix” of caring and dedicated teachers, supportive families, and really great kids and I couldn’t be more excited for the year ahead!
I would also like to thank everyone for the great turn out for our “Welcome Back Picnic” held on Friday, September 14th! This was a great event filled with fun, food, prizes, and my personal favorite, dancing! Open House nights are
scheduled for September 27th and October 4th and provide parents with an opportunity to learn more about the curriculum and the expectations for the upcoming school year and how you can support and extend your child’s learning at home. For those of you that haven’t had an opportunity to meet me yet, I will look forward to seeing you then!
I would also like to thank you for your cooperation around our efforts to make the entrance area of the school as safe as possible for students and community members. We are asking that the first circle remain a drop off area only. Please proceed into the circle slowly and drive as near as possible to the right shoulder. Your child should exit from the right side of the vehicle at all times to avoid the possibility of being caught in the line of moving vehicles upon attempting to enter the building. We realize that parking space here at Lyseth is a difficulty. That fact being acknowledged, we ask you to park in the designated parking areas when you need to enter the building during arrival and dismissal for the safety of our students…your children.
We have had a wonderful start to the school year and we welcome you to be a part of the excitement of teaching and learning here in our school community!
